Thomas Stewart is a Welsh writer based in Edinburgh.

His debut poetry pamphlet, empire of dirt, is published by Red Squirrel Press. 

​

In 2021 he was a recipient of the New Writers Award. 

​

He is a former writer in residence at Arteles, Finland. 

 

He has an MA from the University of Warwick and completed his Master's on an Erasmus grant at IULM University. He has a BA in English from the University of South Wales. 

​

His work is about exploring characters as human beings - with the good, the bad and ugly.

​

He is working on his first novel. 

​

He is scared of the dark.
